You’ve heard of a drive-in movie, and now, Living Hope presents a drive-through experience of the Journey to Bethlehem! From the space of your family car, you can enjoy this FREE event to celebrate the start of the Christmas season! Over the past few years, “Journey to Bethlehem” has become a beloved tradition in Cape Town.
Living Hope hosts this LIVE outdoor event each year in December, retelling the story of that first Christmas and the birth of Jesus. A drive around our Capri campus and our farm take you to 7 different story stations, bringing to life the story of Mary and Joseph’s travels, as well as meeting a few shepherds and angels along the way!
Carols with Jenny and the Jameses will begin at 7:15 – 8, finishing off with the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree. What a treat! Bring a picnic for after the Journey to enjoy before the Carols begin.
Living Hope will be collecting donations of new hygiene items at the end of Journey at the lit Christmas tree to support their 53 various outreach programmes. Hygiene items are needed year round to support their mission and vision of “Bringing Hope and Breaking Despair” of poverty and illness. Come along and mark the end of 2022 by supporting a local charity and enjoying an evening out!
