Every day the Life Skill Educators are reaching hundreds of children across 6 communities. In communities that are marked with hardship and tragedy, kids and teens in our after-school and holiday programmes are playing games, singing songs, and reading the Bible to help them understand the importance of love, forgiveness and worth. They also learn about other social issues like Bullying, Child Protection, Sexuality, Self- Esteem and other topics. The impact of this programme is far-reaching and plays a vital role in the development of the next generation.

Many years ago, Living Hope launched a sponsorship fund specifically for the Life Skills Program. We called this fund the “D.A.D” fund, which asked a donor to give a monthly suggested gift that was based on a “dollar a day” ($30 per month or around ZAR500). We loved the idea of faithful donors like you (metaphorically speaking) becoming a father figure or a “Dad” to the kids in our programs through your faithful giving. This type of monthly giving has carried the Life Skills program very well for many years. However, in the last few years, we have seen a decline in funding for Life Skills and many “Dads” falling off the donor list. The drop in funding is at a critical point, and we are risking a shutdown of the program due to the shortfall of funding. We are hopeful that this concert will raise the necessary $20,000 (ZAR 300 000) that we are short for the rest of this year.

Will you pray with us, that through this concert that the hearts of our past donors and present donors would be opened to join the D.A.D programme or re-join the D.A.D. programme with financial commitments once off or R500 per month?

You can purchase your ticket by making a donation of R100 or more through our website or EFT.  Click  www.livinghope.co.za/donate and select one of the options beneath Life Skills. Please ensure that if you donate online or by EFT that you note “Concert” in the memo line. You can email nathan@livinghope.co.za with your POP and a ticket will be emailed to you. Even if you can’t join us in person, your ticket will allow you access to a recording.

We hope to see you there!

Warmly,
